slacker

Tonight we are having a Blizzard. Seriously. An honest to God blizzard as decreed by the national weather service. It is quite beautiful. It is also times very well since I have three days off, including Sunday.

Iris starts new daycare a week from Monday. She has gone to hang out there twice and I am pretty comfortable with leaving her there. I'd better be... for what is costs per week. heh. Speaking of Iris... She is twenty months old. She is a monkey, she is absolutaly crazy, impulsive and beautiful. Today, she knocked over a floor lamp. I ran over there so fast I lost a slipper. I could feel her little heart beating fast in her chest. She did not cry. My baby is tough, she is strong. My baby is quickly becoming NOT a baby.

We are catching up with old tv and watching four hours of taped American Idol. My favorite part is seeing the parents, spouses and family being so proud of the person they know singing. Espcially the parents... Proud parents. What a feeling. I experience it more and more. It is really the best thing.

I know I don't post much.. but man.. when is there time. Time is a hot commodity around here. Generally it is not spent on the computer. My how times have changed. I think that's an interesting topic all on its own. How my new life began almost solely on the internet and I am pulled further away.

I always think of cool things to write about when I am miles from the computer.. like in bed at night.. or at work. I should keep a little pad with me. Seriously. quality stuff. :D

Well, we'll see if I can open the door tomorrow.. we are supposed to get up to 14 inches by tomorrow night. That's on top of the 6 inches we just got last night. Plus theres all the blowing... there are huge drifts. My camera will have fresh batteries tomorrow, and I shall be taking pictures of the aftermath.

Stay tuned!
