Forgive me Blogger...

For I have sinned. It has been sixteen days since my last post. Does anyone really read this thing anyway? If you do and don't normally comment, Say hello!

My feet hurt. I wore socks that were too thick and too new for my new shoes. They made prints in my skin with the texture of my sock. I have very impressionable skin, always have. I keep pillow face for way too long, and wearing a waffle weave shirt to bed does amazing things to my torso.

Pregnancy is amplifying my pet peeves. Mainly people that tap their fingers, library cards books papers what have you as they wait. I can only check books out so fast asshole, so you should just relax. I think a LOT of people really need to relax. Do they really need that thing right now? Does anyone take a moment to stop and enjoy something. Little things, things that are free or close to it, things that do not need to be plugged in. I'm happy that when I walk to work in the wind that it is no longer mind numbingly cold. I pause and smile at the thought of the absolute mess it must be making out of my hair.

There is so much *good* going on in my life it boggles my mind. I have the idea that it can all be gone in a flash but, you know, I really don't think it will. I feel blessed. Maybe it's the music... I'm listening to a song off of The Tragically Hip's album Road Apples. Ahh highschool. These songs are still so good. Long time running... that AHHHHHHH feeling. The relaxing one, not the angry one.

My crocus' are nearly an inch tall. Life is good.

Chris' parents were here for an extended weekend. Saturday through Tuesday. At the end of it all this is what was accomplished.
  • My formerly rickety basement stairs were re-done. Solid!
  • The basement no longer bring on my own anxiety attacks. It's ORGANIZED!
  • Chris has this rather "grown up" work area with two work benches one of which is the new home of the kick-ass mitre saw he got for Christmas and has been sitting in its box since then, never opened.
  • My kitchen now has baseboards, not hollow area's where the drywall stops short 5 inches above the floor.
  • My Mother-in-Law and I went on a mini shop-a-thon. This produced a crib ( and mattress), a changing table/dresser and hutch and a swivel rocking chair.
Ahh progress.

Since then we have ordered this crib bedding set
and probably tomorrow we will order the stroller, infant car seat and pack and play.

We have to pick out our paint color and paint before the furniture stuff is delivered. ( We hope to anyway.) As well as pick the upholstery for the chair. I think right now I'll get the same velvety stuff that the display one had, but we shall see.

Ok. I more than made up for the 16 days didn't I!
