another week, another wow! has it really been a week...
Today was a rather glorious day. It was really warm, for winter anyway. Nearly 60 degrees, infact at one point today it was 72 in the sun on our outdoor thermometer. It couldn't have been that warm... Could it.
I hung a bunch of things today. A group of six framed vintage postcards in the stairway, a print of Quebec city in the bathroom ( to cover an unused electrical box) and this long horizontal antique mirror above our bed. ( rawr! .. just kidding) This one is pretty old and the mirror silver is starting to go on it, very cool.
We assembled a rubbermaid storage closet in the attic and put a bunch of coats and other seldom worn clothing inside of it. That thing is so worth the money! We even mostly finished putting away crap in the guestroom (soon to be baby room). But... not quite. It's still way better, of course, now the attic is getting a lot more crowded. There were swarms of flies on the two windows in the attic. It was SO disgusting, I think flies are really the most nasty bug ever. Chris didn't want to spray them with raid though, so they are still there now, swarming and copulating on my attic windows. *shudders
Mid day we went and exchanged the propane tank for a tank that actually had propane in it. Now we are ready for the grilling season. Chris is the grillmaster, I am the stir-fry guru. Then some Mcdonalds drive-through, a newspaper and home. We ate outside on the back patio that is still half covered in ice. I made a toast with my diet coke to "the new season" or something like that. It is unusual that I make toasts with drinks, I often just use food. For example, I'll hold up a fry or my hamburger and make a toast to whatever, then touch what i'm eating to whatever Chris is eating. I occasionally do it to my friend Shawna too. I am a strange bird.
We had Pa Naang with tilapia for dinner. It was really really good. (pa naang is a nutty red thai curry.) While we ate, we wasted 2 hours watching "King Arthur". It was... just ok. Even that might be a compliment.
This past Tuesdays doctors appointment went well. We heard the heartbeat as usual and scheduled an ultrasound. So now I have to wait till March 21st to possibly find out what the creature we will be having is. Chris says it is a girl, I have no feeling either way. What I do feel is it moving around now, fairly often too. It is truely pretty amazing and... Weird. That has been my word to describe a lot of feelings I have had since becoming pregnant.
On Saturday at work a patron asked me out for coffee. I was in complete shock... and amusment afterward. Who gets asked out at the Library? Especially when they are pregnant. Heh.. anyway, it was a VERY unusual occurance. I can't think of a time ever where someone I did not know already did that to me.
Chris is writing his blog behind me on his computer. He's wearing his glasses. He looks super hot in his glasses... I get the goofiest smile when ever I see him with them on. :D
<3 He's the one.
